MUFON(Mutual UFO Network) is an organization to investigate UFO sightings and collect the data in the MUFON Database by researchers worldwide. It also promotes research on UFOs to discover the true nature of the phenomenon, with an eye towards scientific breakthroughs.
The project deliverables include branding identity and an annual catalog distributed to their members. The logo itself is fragment derives from the letter MUFON; the entire branding identity delivers a mysterious yet approachable feeling toward the brand itself so as to raise people’s interest on a topic that the world has been debating for decades, especially since the public’s rising fascination of outer space and extraterrestrials since the 1960s.
The current MUFON website is poorly curated, which leads to a lack of legitimacy. The visitor might regard this as a random hobby site due to its inconsistency in design. My objective is to bring a more professional, persuasive yet approachable design to MUFON so as to attract more members and more importantly to help them gain recognition from the public.
